    Bord Bia today hosted more than 200 national and international buyers for a trade breakfast in the Food Village at Bloom, Ireland’s largest gardening, food and drink festival created by Bord Bia. The breakfast event is just one of a number of business opportunities which Bord Bia’s Bloom offers to Irish companies exhibiting at the festival with the showcase also offering a platform for emerging businesses and new product innovations to launch. A 2017 visitor report quantified spend at the show at almost Eur9 million, with the potential for up to Eur34 million spent with exhibiting companies post-event.     Designer Andrew Christopher Dunne, The Sustainable Seafood Garden, Gold Medal Winner and Overall Show Garden Winner at Bord Bia's Bloom 2018. Following a rigorous two-day judging process with an independent panel of expert judges, the award was announced as Bord Bia opened the gates on the 12th annual Bloom festival in the Phoenix Park, Dublin. The Sustainable Seafood Garden tells the story of the journey from tide to table, of the fish and seafood that surround and inhabit this island. It boasts a large water feature with shimmering fish sculptures and an ÔupcycledÕ fishing boat which doubles as a kitchen. Throughout the weekend, the boat will host cookery demonstrations featuring sustainably sourced seafood. Bord Bia's Bloom takes place in the Phoenix Park from May 31st to June 4th.     An upside down garden, the challenges of urban living, skin cancer awareness, gender inequality, sustainable fishing and biodiversity are among the issues which will be brought to life in some of the stunning show gardens at Bord Bia's Bloom which returns to the Phoenix Park Dublin from 31st May to 4th June 2018. The five day event which showcases the best of Ireland's horticulture and food industry will feature 20 spectacular show gardens and endless garden and floral features. Bloom offers a great out for all the family featuring arts, crafts, music, food and drink as well as talks, debates, workshops and live cookery demonstrations with some of Ireland's best loved chefs.
