Spring has sprung and summer is on the way. Green fingered gardeners of all ages are encouraged to visit Airfield Dundrum on Sunday May 10th from 10am to 5pm, when it will play host to The Rare & Special Plant Fair 2015.

New Awards for Growers at Garden Show Ireland

Nurseries and specialist growers who create displays in the Growers' Pavilion at Allianz Garden Show Ireland 2015 will have the opportunity to win £500.

A Game Menu For Garden Show

For over a decade, Northern Ireland's premiere gardening event, Allianz Garden Show Ireland has been championing local food producers from all over the country. Recently, organisers revealed a game menu featuring lobster burgers and wild game as the Show teams up with Food NI for this year's event, which runs 8-10 May in Antrim Castle Gardens.

Flowers for Your First Holy Communion - Ruth Gallagher

What an exciting time for a young little flowers. As they take a big step with their fellow classmates, we strive to make this day special and memorable. Practical Gardening Morning with Ciarán Burke on 25th April

The Royal Horticultural Society of Ireland invites you to join them for a morning of practical gardening. The workshop will be led by Ciarán Burke, owner of The Garden School, now housed in the RHSI's new office in Laurelmere, Marlay Park, Dublin 14. RHSI Plant Sale Dublin

The Royal Horticultural Society of Ireland is holding its Annual Plant Sale. It will take place in its new premises, Laurelmere, Marlay Park, Rathfarnham, Dublin 14 on Saturday 9th May from 12 until 3pm. All are welcome. No entrance fee. This is an ideal opportunity to pick up something a bit different, well-grown plants from the gardens of experienced gardeners. Second-hand gardening books and magazines will also be for sale. The next event in the calendar that ISNA members will be participating in is the annual Fota House Plant and Garden Fair. This will be held at Fota House & Gardens, Carrigtwohill, Co. Cork on Sunday 19th April between 11am and 4pm.

The Rare and Special Plant Fair

The Rare and Special Plant Fair was established in 2001 with the assistance of BordBia, to ensure that the gardening public has an opportunity to purchase rare and difficult to source plants, while at the same time visit a garden of note that they may not otherwise visit.

Call For All To Spring Into Action

In celebration of the official 'first day of spring' (20th March) Allianz Garden Show Ireland has called for all gardeners to 'spring into action' and get involved in the Team Garden Challenge at the 2015 Allianz Garden Show Ireland event which takes place from 8-10 May at Antrim Castle Gardens. Pictured at the launch were members of the Men's Shed Garden Challenge team who are all set to get to work ahead of the event.

BBC Radio 4's Gardeners' Question Time Visits Garden Show!

On Friday 8th May, BBC Radio 4's Gardeners' Question Time will be recording from Allianz Garden Show Ireland at Antrim Castle Gardens! So bring along your questions and put them to the celebrated panel of gardening experts. The team is made up of organic gardening guru Bob Flowerdew, plantsman and horticulturalist Matthew Biggs, and botanist James Wong with Eric Robson in the chair.

Floral Discoveries in Woods - David Corscadden

With the fantastic weather we have been having lately it has finally began to feel like summer and I for one could not be more happy. Spring is a fantastic time to get out and really appreciate nature as it begins to wake from its slumber. While many people reserve visits to to parks and woods for the summer time, when you can enjoy a picnic in the warmth, I love a visit to my local woods to explore and seek out plants.

ISNA Plant Fair – St. Anne’s Park, Raheny, Dublin – Saturday 21st March 10am to 4pm
