Interflora’s London Fashion Week Event

We were thrilled to see that many designers at London Fashion week this year were inspired by flowers. Designers such as Christopher Kane as well as luxury brand Mulberry incorporated a lot of floral designs into their spring/summer 2014 collections.

In celebration of this we decided to host an event which brought catwalk designers to life through flowers. If you would like to read more about the day and view our video then go to Interflora London Fashion Week 2013.

For the event we invited along seven fashion bloggers to a stunning apartment in the heart of London. Each blogger was asked to choose a designer from London Fashion Week and prepare a mood board based on their signature style. They then presented this to one of our expert florists, who then worked with them to create a bespoke arrangement in the designer’s likeness.

Here are all of their beautiful designs …

Tom Ford

Sophie who writes her own blog Sophie Etc chose Tom Ford as inspiration for her floral arrangement. Interflora florist Natalie Stanyer created the exquisite centre piece which she filled with Purple Hydrangeas and Vanda Orchids.

Paul Smith

Sarah who is the brains behind Sequin This chose Paul Smith as her chosen designer. Interflora florist Morgan Nuth created the arrangement which was filled with roses of all different colours, reflecting the style of Paul Smith with its quirky stripes.

You can read Sarah’s blog post about the day here.

Mulberry

Angharad who writes fashion blog Style Trunk chose to mirror the style of Mulberry. Our expert florist Natalie imitated the style of the luxury brand by including white hydrangeas and pastel pink roses.

Adidas by Stella McCartney

Isabelle has been writing for five years on her blog Isabelle OC. For the event she chose the brand Adidas by Stella McCartney. Florist Morgan captured the essence of the brand by including bold colours and unusual flowers within the arrangement.

L’Wren Scott

Lauren who is more widely known by her readers as Laurenella chose L’Wren Scott as her chosen designer. Our florist Natalie replicated her vision from the mood board by including vibrant colours and metallic decorations.

Vivienne Westwood

Lolli is the person behind fashion blog The Girl Who Stole London she chose to create her arrangement based on fashion favourite Vivienne Westwood. Our florist Morgan incorporated an array of flowers, fabrics and colours capturing what the designer is all about.

Later on in the day we were joined by Tony Glenville who is the Creative Director at London College of Fashion. He discussed each designer’s style and how this has been reflected through each of the floral arrangements.
