An Wildflower Growers Open Day By Ireland’s only Native Irish Wildflower Seed Growers on Prouts Farm in Urlingford. Co Tipperary. A farm Walk and Talk hosted by Sandro Cafolla oF Design By Nature (Ire) The open day will be all about growing and maintaining wildflower meadows for gardeners, farmers, conservationists, Biodiversities, tourism. Tidy towns, nature loving wildlife attractors, horticulturists, and wild flower lovers. Topics covered will include seed collection, seed drying, sowing, germination, first cut and long term maintenance, the species, things that can be achieved, weed killing, how to prepare a site for wildflowers and hints and tips. Meet: 10.30am The 2011 day was so successful that we decided to host another open day on our farm. Bring your own lunch and beverages, and meet a great group of like minded gathering people in fields filled with wildflowers. Sandro who has 25 year experience and can tall with the gift o’de gab is well know for his inspirational talks and gives away freebee seed packets to those who answer questions.
