The Burren in Bloom events programme has just been announced. This lively festival returns this year with a series of illustrated talks and organised walks throughout the month of May. The Festival, in association with the Burren College of Art and the Burrenbeo Trust will give people an understanding and appreciation of the Burren and how it continues to be a source of great botanical, archaeological, and cultural wealth with its unique wild flowers and ancient sites.

Admission to all talk events is free but donations to The Burrenbeo Trust are welcome; the Lecture Theatre is unheated so please wear / bring extra clothing; there will be a charge of €5.00 per person (children free) for walks.

Walks last 2 to 4 hours; walking boots recommended. If you do not know the Burren or need a lift, please assemble on the car park opposite Ballyvaughan church ready for a prompt departure 45 minutes prior to time of walk. If you know the Burren, the actual venue is named please go straight there. Children’s events – suitable for all the family.

Burrenbeo Trust monthly walks are open to everyone – free for Trust Members and a €5.00 for non-members. For more information please email trust@burrenbeo.com or phone 091 638096
